Outside broadcast services for the BBC Christmas Day Service

Timeline worked with BBC Religion, now part of BBC Studios Pacific Quay Productions, on the live transmission of the Christmas Day Service from All Saints Church in Fulham.

Timeline’s outside broadcast truck, UHD1, was in Fulham for three days of rigging and rehearsals culminating in the live HD broadcast on Christmas Day morning.

The facilities included six Sony UHD cameras on mobile mounts to capture all the ceremony and atmosphere of the service. The 4K facilities ensured superb picture quality for the HD broadcast.  The unit’s Calrec sound desk along with an array of music quality microphones were used to capture the music and ambience of the church.

The live HD transmission was handled by Timeline’s 4K UHD uplink truck, RF1. The 7.5 tonne RF truck is capable of delivering multiple UHD and HD uplinks.
