Timeline provided both outside broadcast and post-production services for BBC Music Day

Timeline Television delivered full post-production for the BBC Music Day 2016 project, including the Ambassador films, Unsung Heroes films and the Legacy film at the company’s MediaCityUK facility.

For the Unsung films, people from around the country were asked to nominate a local Unsung Hero. The five winners, selected by a BBC panel, were featured on BBC Radio 2, online and on The One Show‘s BBC Music Day special, shown live from the Eden Project in Cornwall, where Timeline’s team was providing live OB facilities.

Off and online editor Siôn Roberts edited a fast-turnaround film, with footage delivered via mediashuttle from multiple locations into Timeline’s MediaCityUK facility, which was being managed by the in-house MCR team overnight from Friday evening through to Saturday morning.

Timeline’s outside broadcast team delivered a seven-camera OB facility for The One Show, presented by Alex Jones and Patrick Kielty. Guests included Nile Rodgers and Duran Duran, and there was a performance from Laura Mvula.

Timeline brought in remote feeds into the show. These included Colin Murray at Belfast’s Stormont, Fran Healy in Glasgow’s Barrowlands and Angelica Bell from the top of the Tees Transporter Bridge.
