Timeline is delighted to be working with FilmNova, one of Britain’s leading independent sports producers and specialists in athletics coverage, to provide presentation coverage of the 9th World Para Athletics Championships. Timeline’s brand new IP 4K HDR outside broadcast truck, UHD2, will be on site at the London Stadium to deliver the live broadcasts of the 9-day event.
Timeline’s Sony HDC-4300 2/3 inch Ultra HD 4K cameras with Fujinon Ultra HD lenses will capture Channel 4’s presenters, Ade Adepitan, Sophie Morgan and Arthur Williamsin situated in the studio, and Jeanette Kwakye, Sonja McLaughlin in the mixed zone. UHD2 will combine host broadcaster feeds with these cameras and support 2 transmission galleries including EVS XT3 servers and edit suites. Timeline’s RF department will also support a Roving Presenter Camera offering innovative coverage from the track and in field presented by Lee McKenzie. This will be the first time a broadcaster has presented from the track and in field at a major championship.
UHD2 includes the latest IP infrastructure and HDR technology. The IP network provides support for up to 32 UHD cameras and 12, 4K UHD EVS servers.
“It is our pleasure to work with FilmNova on the much anticipated World Para Athletic Championships,” said Daniel McDonnell, Managing Director at Timeline Television. “We have issued our brand new IP 4K HDR outside broadcast truck to provide the very best in outside broadcast technology for our client. Coupled with this we are proud to be supporting FilmNova’s innovative coverage from the track and in field.”
Coverage of the competition starts on 14 July and runs until 23 July. Around 1300 athletes from 100 countries will be competing in 213 medal events at the iconic Olympic Stadium, as Team GB seek to improve on last year’s 4th place finish.
Watch it live on Channel 4, More 4 and All 4.
Timeline also provides its RF services to FilmNova on the Great Run Series.
